Summary: Fantastic
Details: Wow its amazing. Im not sure if this is because of the FoxyTunes plugin or if I have a virus (this has never happened before) because when I go to close WMP, it asks me if I want to close it or just hide it. Thats brilliant if it is the plugin! Well done!
Pros: interoperability

Windows Media Player Series 9 |
Summary: Excellent player, sooo convenient!
Details: It does most every function you really need from it right from your browser screen. And if it doesn't have it at hand, simply click one button and bam, your media player opens up. Too convenient!
Pros: Simple to use and keeps the taskbar from getting cluttered w/ media play and music folder tabs.
Cons: Doesn't feature a fast forward and rewind option.
Period used: 1 month
Other products used: None, and I won't. This is the only one you'll ever need. Enough said.

Windows Media Player 9.00.00.3120 |
Summary: A Microsoft Program That Doesn't Suck
Details: Okay, I'll admit, I sincerely dislike Microsoft. There are only two programs I think were of any good from them: Windows XP Professional, and Windows Media Player. But why? Granted, Windows Media Player is a resource hog and is murder for slower computers. But if you have a really nice system, it's got tons of cool stuff you can use, and the 9 version is extremely stable. It can adjust playback rates, reprocess sound to enhance it, provide full equalizer support, use captivating visualizations, rate songs, build playlists based on your criteria, set up synchronized lyrics, heck, it can do practically everything! I would recommend this to anyone with a nice computer. By nice I mean 800MHz at the least with 256MB of RAM. If it's any slower, use WinAmp. It's not as powerful, but it gets the job done and uses only a tiny fraction of the resources Windows Media Player needs.
Pros: Feature-driven, automated playlists, full CD I/O support, visualizations, skinnable, seamless playback, integrated WMA/WMV technology
Cons: Heavy usage of RAM and CPU, making it a pain for slower computers (works great with Athlon XP's)
Period used: Years and years
Other products used: WinAmp, Musicmatch Jukebox, RealPlayer, Media Player Classic

Windows Media Player 10 |
Summary: Microsoft is stepping up to the plate...
Details: A lot better than Windows Media Player 9. The interface is vastly improved and all the functions (though in the beta phase) have simplified things like listening to radio. Itunes used to be my favorite but WMP10 will be Itunes sole competitor in the future. When the company throws its weight behind a product, one can expect great (if not monopolistic) things!
Pros: Compatibility with most hard drive mp3 players out there escept ipod (duh)
Cons: none

Details: It can do most anything you need it to, in fact I can't even think of something I need that it can't do. I have heard somewhere that it is missing a couple of features, but never anything a normal user would want. Details: The thing about Windows Media Player is that it is integrated into Windows, is clean, perfectly integrates an amazing LyricsAMP plug-in, and, most of all, is really good at indexing MP3s with proper Media tags. I can't believe that I used winamp all these years. (Especially since Microsoft is, in my opinion, a lesser evil than Time Warner).

Windows Media Player WMP 10 |
Summary: Windows Media Player 10 (7,8 e 9) is a good player!
Details: I like listen to music and i like the sound quality of Windows Media Player with a good equalizer and nice effects like "WOW Effect" and "TruBass". Is very ease to use with a nice interface. We can organize our album of MP3 very easy and we can record on pc our cds. I think is only a poor player only for the memory and cpu he need but for other is a good program for listen to music and watch video. Crystal Player is another good player, i like it for the nice interface and the semplicity of this player. Is very lite for memory and cpu i think this nice extension can support it.
Pros: Audio Quality, Easy of use, Nice Interface
Cons: Need a lot of memory and CPU
