Wicked Lester was a New York-based rock and roll group. They existed from 1970 (originally under the name Rainbow) until 1973, when they took the name KISS.

The origin of Wicked Lester traces to 1970, when Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Stephen Coronel formed Rainbow. The group played gigs around New York City as a trio until Brooke Ostrander (keyboards) and Tony Zarella (drums) joined in 1971. The band was then redubbed Wicked Lester. Part of the decision to rename the band involved Simmons and Stanley's desire to start playing more original compositions.
