Wayne Static (real name Wayne Wells) was born on November 4, 1965 is an American musician who is currently the Singer, guitarist, and programmer for the Industrial Metal band Static-X. His hometown is Shelby, Michigan and he graduated from Western Michigan University. Before Static-X he worked as an asparagus picker.

Wayne has a signature Epiphone flying-V guitar. He also uses Marshall amplifiers, Seymour Duncan pickups and Ernie Ball Strings. He also tends to keyboards for Static-X.
