Tim DeLaughter is a singer and songwriter from Dallas, Texas. He has gained attention as a very energetic and engaging front man for both Tripping Daisy, and his current band The Polyphonic Spree. Following the breakup of Tripping Daisy and prior to the formation of The Polyphonic Spree, Tim opened the record store Good Records located in the Dallas entertainment district Deep Ellum. Since 2001, Tim has toured extensively with his new band and has collaborated with acts such as Stereolab, Death in Vegas, Peter Gabriel and David Bowie. Most recently he scored the music for the upcoming film Thumbsucker. The soundtrack to that movie was released on September 13, 2005.
