The Perishers are a Swedish indie rock band. The band began in 1997 composed of six members, since 2001 it has consisted of Ola Klüft (vocals, guitar), Martin Gustafson (keyboards, backing vocals), Pehr Åström (bass), and Thomas Hedlund (drums).

Although they have not had a major commercial breakthrough, they do have a fanbase that stretches across Europe and North America. They've had several songs appear in episodes of the popular American television programs The OC and more noticably One Tree Hill. Also of note is the fact that singer Sarah McLachlan appears on their song "Pills" as a featured artist, with whom they toured with this past summer in 2005.
