The Jessica Fletchers are a Norwegian band, formed in Oslo once in the 1990s. They play Pop'n'Roll with references to the 1960s av well as adding a modern toutch to it. Their influences include The Beatles, The Kinks, Early Pink Floyd, The Monkees, and The Beach Boys.
The Jessica Fletchers was formed during 1997. The original set up was: Bjørn Rune Lie, Vegard Syrstad, Andreas Mastrup, Thomas Innstø and Rune Somdal. The guys had just about had enough of the music scene in suburban Drammen outside Oslo, consisting mainly of metal, prog-rock and punk bands, and decided to do something about it. After playing some local pubs and clubs it didn’t take long before they headed for the studio, recording their self financed "unofficial" debut album "I can shoot you from here" (1998) and so the story goes...
