The Hummingbirds were an indie pop band from Sydney, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They were one of the first bands signed to the rooArt label, and had a chart hit with Blush. They were fronted by Simon Holmes and Robyn St. Clair, who also recorded with RatCat and Sneeze.

The Hummingbirds were one of Australia's most promising acts in the late eighties/early nineties along with other up and comers like Ratcat, Tall Tales and True and the Falling Joys. After releasing four singles on Phantom Records in the late eighties, they were signed by RooArt records and realeased their debut album LOVE BUZZ to critical acclaim. The single Blush, was a top 20 hit for the band and the world seemed to be at their feet. However, the release of their second album, Va Va Voom, was delayed due to problems with RooArt and by the time it was finally realeased in 1992, it was a case of too much, too late.
