The Game (born Jayceon Taylor on November 27, 1979 in Compton, California) is a rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment. The Game is proving to be a driving force in bringing back the West coast hip hop scene and compete with many of his East Coast counterparts.

The Game was born and raised in Compton, California. Known to be Piru Blood gang member, he grew up in a Crips' neighborhood known to be Santana Blocc. The rapper's nickname is said to have been coined by his grandmother, who supposedly said that he was always "game" for anything. After living in foster care in his late childhood and early adolescence the next several years, two of The Game's brothers were shot and killed. Meanwhile, his half brother Big Fase Hunned introduced him into the gang lifestyle.
