The Fall of Troy are a three-piece post-hardcore progressive rock outfit from Mukilteo, Washington. They recently signed to Equal Vision Records. Formerly known as The Thirty Years War; Tom, Tim, and Andrew have been together in some form since they attended classes at Kamiak High School. The Fall of Troy had added a keyboardist, Jesse Erickson, to their lineup as of December 2003, but he left due to alternate ideas and schedules.

The Fall of Troy play an uncompromising but tuneful brand of energetic rock music that falls somewhere in between the prog-influenced post-hardcore of At the Drive-in and the hardcore-influenced prog of The Mars Volta, while maintaining an experimental edge that establishes their music firmly as their own. Vocals alternate between a clean style similar to that employed by vocalists in many other prog-rock and prog-metal bands, and a harsh shriek influenced by the vocals of black metal and death metal's death grunt; while both vocal styles are present on all of the band's releases, the clean vocals are more common on the band's more recent work. The band's not inconsiderable songwriting chops and instrumental prowess have earned them frequent critical accolades; also of note is the band's youth; they were only seventeen years old when they recorded their self-titled debut in 2003.
