A rock and roll band based in Detroit, Michigan, notable for blending such diverse influences such as punk rock, glam, and soul as well as utilizing a dual bass guitar, dual drum lineup. The Dirtbombs were formed by Mick Collins (of the influential garage rock band ) as a side project and started recording songs by 1995.

In the decade since their conception, the Dirtbombs have hosted a revolving door of musicians both in the studio and on the road. As of June 2004 the band’s 17th and current lineup consists of Mick Collins on guitar, Troy Gregory on bass, Ko Melina on a distorted “fuzz” bass, and Ben Blackwell and Pat Pantano on the two drum sets.
