Specimen was an 80's British band. They have been described as being many different genres, including: Glam, Goth, Punk and Deathrock. They formed in Bristol, England in 1980 (some sources say 1981, but 1980 was the year given by a band member in an interview so it is likely the correct one). Their first show was at a street party celebrating the wedding of The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. They played many shows at a club called The Batcave that they helped with founding and running.
