Also, Ben Jackson, formerly from the band DudeFish, was in the original line-up for Son Of Dork but was dropped because his voice was not suited to James' and the key that he writes his songs in. It was rumoured Ben would go back to his original band DudeFish but those rumours have been scrapped and it is now cleared that Ben has more plans to start a band of his own.

Their first single was "Ticket Outta Loserville", released on 7 November 2005, followed by their debut album Welcome To Loserville on 21 November 2005and Eddies Song on 16th January
