Solitude Aeturnus is an American doom metal band that was started in spring 1987 as Solitude, in Arlington Texas. In 1990 they changed their name to Solitude Aeturnus due to legal problems with another band named Solitude. After two demos Kris Gabehardt found that he could not reconcile his personal belief with the heavy metal attitude anymore and quit. A replacement was found by Robert Lowe.
