Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (pronounced ['siə]) is a contemporary female pop singer, noted for her work with Zero 7 and her two solo albums. She was born in Adelaide, Australia but did not achieve commercial success until she moved to England.
Furler's first album, Healing is Difficult, was an eclectic mix of R&B and jazz and was hailed as the next Lauryn Hill/Nelly Furtado. Her second album, released in 2004 and entitled Colour the Small One, saw her music style maturing and developing. She co-wrote a couple of tracks with Beck, The Bully, and the as yet unreleased track, Killing Kindess.
