Rob Base (b. Robert Ginyard) and DJ E-Z Rock (b. Rodney "Skip" Bryce) are a hip-hop duo from Harlem New York who are best known for their hit "It Takes Two," a 1988 release that has since become one of the classic hits of the genre.

Based upon a vocal sample from Lyn Collin's 1972 song "Think (About It)," the track first became a regional hit and then slowly climbed the Hot 100, eventually peaking at #36 and picking up a platinum single certification. The song also peaked at #3 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
