Pete Murray is an Australian singer-songwriter whose second album Feeler released on 21 July, 2003 went to number one on the Australian charts on 29 March, 2004 and has so far achieved six time platinum status. The third single "So Beautiful" has made the Australian top ten in the singles charts in 2004 while his 2004 national tour has proved to be so successful that he has had to add extra dates. Pete Murray was also nominated for two ARIA awards in 2003.

Pete Murray was born in Queensland and attended Nudgee College. At Nudgee College, he showed a great deal of talent in sport especially rugby, athletics and swimming. When he was 18, his father died while he was contesting the Australian championships of the 400 metres. In rugby, he made the Queensland seven-a-side team in 1993 but eventually had to give the game away due to a succession of major injuries.
