His style in some songs is similar to John Bonham's with "Aeroplane Blues" being one example. Both Carney and Dan Auerbach, the lead singer and guitarist for The Black Keys, record with the Fat Possum record label. The group's second album, [[Thickfreakness]], was recorded in Patrick's old apartment basement.
