Over the Rhine (or OTR, as they are sometimes referred to) are an Ohio-based musical band. Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist (husband and wife) are the musicians who form the core of Over the Rhine.

Over the Rhine (or OTR, as they are sometimes referred to) are an Ohio-based musical band. Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist (husband and wife) are the musicians who form the core of Over the Rhine.

Over The Rhine was formed in the spring of 1989 and in 1991 they released their first album Till We Have Faces. They started as a quartet with guitarist Ric Hordinski and drummer Brian Kelley, but have both toured and recorded in many shapes and forms. They have opened for Bob Dylan and toured with Cowboy Junkies. Paste Magazine granted one of its first five-star reviews to Over The Rhine's album "OHIO."
