Open Hand is an Californian rock band. They formed in 2000 under the rock oriented Trustkill label. They released their first album "The Dream" in 2002, it was hailed as a significant record in the intelligent emo subgenre. In late February 2005, they released the highly acclaimed "You and Me", an album which not only represented a departure from emo, but was even compared to famed bands like Black Sabbath and Soundgarden.
