Necrophagist is a technical brutal death metal band from Germany. The band is noted for Muhammed Suiçmez's neo-classical guitar technique. After recording the demo, the remainder of the band quit and Muhammed was left to record the debut album, Onset Of Putrefaction, himself. After some time, Necrophagist's line-up finally stabilised, and their new album Epitaph (signed by Relapse Records) was released in 2004. The band was on hiatus from March 2005 to June 2005, due to Muhammed Suiçmez being ill.
