Nautilus Pompilius (Cyrillic: Наутилиус Помпилиус), frequently abbreviated as Nau, was a legendary Russian rock band active between 1987 and 1997. They were known for their original tunes and lyrics. Some of their early tunes have become the veritable anthems of the Perestroika. Their songs accompanied the movie Brother (Брат). After the group was disbanded, the frontman Vyacheslav Butusov launched a very successful solo career.
