Movietone is an English post-rock band. They formed in Bristol, England in 1994. The lineup often changes, but has included Rachel Brook, Kate Wright, Matt Jones, Sam Jones, Matt Elliott, Chris Cole and Florence Lovegrove on viola.

Through the use of sometimes unusual instrumentation, the band's sound is often experimental. 2003's The Sand and The Stars was recorded almost entirely live on a beach.
