Mike Cross (b. 1946) is an American singer and a guitar- and fiddle-player. Born in Maryville, Tennessee, he first took up guitar during his college years at the University of North Carolina. His music incorporates many styles, from singer-songwriter to acoustic blues to humorous novelty songs. While best known for his comedic tunes such as "The Scotsman" and "The Drunkard," Cross's catalog has much more to offer, a fact well known by his loyal cult following. He is a dedicated touring musician, bringing his unique musical stylings and comedic mind to small venues and private functions as a self-proclaimed "wandering hippie folk singer."

The bulk of Cross's work has been released on the North Carolina-based Sugar Hill Records (not to be confused with the rap label).
