Michael Kiske (born January 24, 1968 in Hamburg, Germany) is a rock and heavy metal vocalist. He is best known as the lead singer of the German Power metal band Helloween from 1987 to 1993. After leaving Helloween, Kiske released two solo albums, Instant Clarity and Readiness To Sacrifice on the Japanese record label Victor. Kiske descibes these as pop albums.
Kiske formed the band SupaRed out of a desire to once again make rock music. SupaRed released its debut, self-titled, album in 2003. In 2005 Kiske released a self-titled album with the band Place Vendome on Italian record label Frontiers Records. Kiske descibes the sound of this newest band as "comparable to bands like Foreigner or Journey."
