Mew is an indie rock band from Denmark. Mew became a huge success in Denmark when they emerged on the scene in 2003. At the 2003 Danish Music Critics Award Show, Mew was awarded prizes for "Album of the Year" and "Band of the Year". Up until this point they were well known only in Denmark, but after a European tour supporting R.E.M. they have begun to attract wider attention.

Band members: Jonas Bjerre, Bo Madsen, Johan Wohlert and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen. Their latest album was released in Denmark on the 19th of September, 2005, and in the UK and rest of Europe on the 26th of September.
