Tupac is mostly known in the United States for his strong political and economic messages, and his sometimes violent tendencies. A recent VIBE magazine poll showed him to be rated "the greatest rapper of all time" as voted by fans. MTV's 22 Greatest MCs countdown also listed Tupac as their 'number 1 MC', also as voted by the viewers.
