One of his most notable performances was during The 80's theme night were he performed "Eye Of The Tiger", recieving a Touchdown from Mark Holden. His time on Australian Idol has not been without controversy he has been criticised for his lack of singing ability; he has been accused of being a carbon copy of Joel Madden from the band Good Charlotte (thus, earning him the nickname "Punk Wiggle"), and despite his denials, rumours are rife that he cheated on his girlfriend of four years with Christie Mills from Big Brother Australia at the 2005 ARIA Music Awards. Despite this, on November 7, 2005, Lee made it into the final three alongside Kate DeAraugo and Emily Williams, having getting through instead of Dan England by just 27 votes, in what is believed to be the narrowest margin in Australian Idol to date. On November 14, 2005 Lee was eliminated from the competition.
