Komety is a Polish alternative rock group. They are heavily influenced by American and Polish pop culture of the 1960s and 1970s. As they are from the Zoliborz district of Warsaw, they refer to their music as "Zoli-billy." They are one of the more popular alternative rock groups in Poland, but are relatively obscure in other parts of the world outside of the psychobilly subculture.

From 1994 to 2003, frontman Leslaw and drummer Arkus played in punk rock/rockabilly band Partia, which had four albums to its credit before disbanding. Partia were one of the first Polish bands to incorporate rockabilly into their sound, inspiring a small Polish psychobilly subculture. One of the bands influenced by Partia were ska band Skarpeta, who added rockabilly influence to their music after witnessing a Partia performance. When both bands disbanded, Pleban, the upright bassist from Skarpeta, would join Leslaw and Arkus to form Komety.
