Karl Mueller (July 27, 1963— June 17, 2005) was a U.S. rock musician. He was the bass player for the popular 1990s rock/grunge band Soul Asylum.

In May of 2004 Mueller was diagnosed with throat cancer and several benefit concerts were held to help him with the medical bills. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 41.
