James Last (born Hans Last on April 17, 1929 in Bremen) is the world's most successful German bandleader. He is also bassist, composer and music producer, best-known in America for the song "The Seduction", sometimes subtitled "Love Theme from American Gigolo", credited to the James Last Band. His orchestra is a big band that includes violinists and a choir. He had begun his career as a military musician, with the bass as his favourite instrument. 1946 he became a dance musician. 1964 He had great success with the LP "Non Stop Dancing". Since then 80 millions of his records have been sold worldwide.
