Jack was a founding member and the original drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California alongside Anthony Kiedis, Michael "Flea" Balzary and Hillel Slovak. He can be heard playing drums on the band's third album "Uplift Mofo Party Plan", as well as their cover of "Fire", originally penned by Jimi Hendrix and first released on the Chili Peppers' "Abbey Road EP".
