He also starred alongside Gackt, another popular figure in Japanese music, in the Japanese film Moon Child. As part of the project, HYDE and Gackt created a duet titled "オレンジの太陽" ("Orenji no taiyou", or "Orange Sun"). This song was released on Gackt's fourth full-length album, Crescent. Hyde also played the guitarist Adam in the movie "Kagen no tsuki -last quarter-", based on the popular manga by Ai Yazawa.
