The Hellbillies are a Norwegian country rock group started in 1990, and they are quite popular in Norway. As of 2005, they have released nine albums, and all of them have sold very well in Norway.

The lyrics are in the “halling”-dialect and they are singing about Norwegian people and Norwegian life. They have also collaborated with musicians from USA: Mr. Rob Hajacos from Nashville, who is playing the violin on most of the Garth Brooks albums, also plays the violin on three of the Hellbillies’ albums. He has also been to Norway twice in order to do live gigs and cut records together with Hellbillies.
