Hellbastard was a thrash metal band formed in 1986 in the United Kingdom. The story goes that they meet each other at a Subhumans gig, and that they there decided to form a band that should be a combination of the politics of Crass and the music of Slayer. It should also be noted that other bands from that time and area, went in a direction that fused Anarcho-Punk with a metallic influence. A good example was Anti-Sect (although they in their metallic period, was more like Black Sabbath/Metallica, than Slayer). Hellbastard members went on to play in Hellkrusher. Their last known lineup was: M.S. Lewty - vocals/guitars, Ali Lee - guitars, Drew Wright - bass, and Brian Newton - drums.
