The Shadows inspired guitarists like Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Brian May, Tony Iommi, George Harrison, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young and Pete Townshend and are therefore considered to be Britain's most influential band before the era of The Beatles.
