After a notable debut in It's a Jungle Out There and two unconventional movies by Tom Tykwer, Potente starred in several Hollywood movies, most prominently The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, starring Matt Damon. She briefly dated US actor Elijah Wood.
