Fat Freddy's Drop are a 7 piece New Zealand roots/dub/reggae/jazz/soul band. Although hard to classify, the group has been well-received in their home country, experiencing limited success with their single "Hope", which appears on a number of compilation albums.

Their first major release was a live album, Live at the Matterhorn, an extensive jamming session recorded in a popular Wellington night club. The Drop have also released several singles on vinyl in New Zealand, Europe and Japan and appeared on a number of compilations.
