Dub War

Dub War was a four-piece heavy metal/nu metal band from South Wales, UK. Created in 1993, the band offered an innovative mix of metal, punk, and ragga. Its members can be considered as the founders of a new genre, ragga metal.

Dub War was a four-piece heavy metal/nu metal band from South Wales, UK. Created in 1993, the band offered an innovative mix of metal, punk, and ragga. Its members can be considered as the founders of a new genre, ragga metal.

The Dub War experience was short-lived as the band split in 1999. This separation resulted from disputes with their label, Earache Records. Benji, Ginge and Jeff founded a new band, eventually known as Skindred (which Ginge and Jeff left in 2002). Jeff, Ginge and Richie now work together on a new project: Raw Bud.
