Die Prinzen (The Princes, in English) are a German music group specialising in a cappella music. The band is made up of former members of the choir (Thomanerchor) of the Thomaskirche (St. Thomas' Church) in Leipzig, Germany, where, incidentally, Johann Sebastian Bach was music director for many years.
The lyrics of their songs are often humorous, tongue-in-cheek critiques of German government or society. They gained popularity in Germany after a long hiatus with their song "Olli Kahn", referring to Germany's star World Cup goalie Oliver Kahn.
