Day of Contempt are a hardcore metalcore band. Formed around 1998, they were originally part of the Adelaide, South Australia underground hardcore scene, in mid 2004 they set up in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

They have toured internationally and are on tour, as at October 2005, with The Used.
