He was born on December 3, 1979 in New Zealand, moving to the UK when he was a child. After a song called "Gotta Get Thru This" (which he recorded in his bedroom) gathered momentum on white label, it went on to become a #1 hit in the UK Top 40 in December 2001. He has since had 2 more #1 singles ("If You're Not The One" and "Never Gonna Leave Your Side") as well as 2 other top 10 singles and a top 30 single. His album also titled Gotta Get Thru This, also reached #2 in the UK albums chart. Bedingfield is an outspoken Christian, whose parents are missionaries. He openly shares his faith during concerts and occasionally in his songs. Daniel was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactive disorder [ADHD] at the age of 4 and has said the experience has been reflected in his song-writing.
