Cut Copy is a band from Melbourne, Australia. Their sound, perhaps best labeled as retro/electropop, is much in the vein of contemporaries such as Daft Punk and Postal Service, and draws considerable influence from 80's bands such as Fleetwood Mac and New Order.

It began in 2001 as the project for Dan Whitford, however in 2003 Whitford recruited a band, and in 2005 toured internationally for the first time, visiting London, New York and Los Angeles. They have played with international acts Franz Ferdinand and Junior Senior, amongst others. Cut Copy is signed to the record label Modular Recordings in Sydney.
