Children of the Anachronistic Dynasty was a band in the 1980's. They released only one independent cassette, Fingernails. Maynard James Keenan, being the band's lead singer and song writer, shows signs of what he was to become in his more successful bands Tool and A Perfect Circle.

It is widely known that this band was based somewhere in West Michigan, probably Grand Rapids.
