Chad Channing (b. January 31 1967) was a drummer for the band Nirvana until he left due to creative differences within the band in 1990 (contrary to popular belief, his departure was a mutual decision within the band with no hard feelings on either side). He was later replaced in Nirvana by David Grohl.
Channing later joined a band called The Methodists. As of 2005 he is drumming/playing bass in a band called Redband, after East of the Equator broke up in January who were based in the US state of Washington, the same area that spawned Nirvana.
