Carl McCoy (born January 18, 1963, Lambeth, London, England) is the lead singer in gothic rock band Fields of the Nephilim. In 1991 McCoy left the band and went on to form The Nefilim. The 1996 release of The Nefilim's album Zoon saw a departure from the ethereal, almost progressive, gothic sound of Elizium in favour of an industrial, death metal direction. McCoy also owns a graphics company, Sheer Faith, which has supplied art and design for all musical projects as well as taken assignments from the film and publishing industry.

His new album Mourning Sun is to be released on November 18th, 2005, under the name Fields of the Nephilim, for which he holds copyright. It is not yet clear who, apart from McCoy, has been involved in the writing and recording of this new album - according to fansites, it is a solo work by McCoy written in near-total isolation - but none of the other original Fields of the Nephilim line-up appear on it.
