Callejeros (approximately the Streetwise Ones in Spanish) is a Argentine rock band that became (internationally) famous when the nightclub República Cromagnon was set on fire during one of its shows, killing 194 spectators on December 30, 2004. Among the dead spectators were relatives of several band members. The manager's wife and the lead singer's girlfriend also died in the fire.

In the middle of 1995 a group of young people of the Buenos Aires district of Villa Celina joined itself with the objective to form a rock band. At first they were made know as Rio Verde (Green River in Spanish) and basically touched versions of Chuck Berry, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Rolling Stones. Arriving at the end of 1996 the band lives a time on changes in its formation getting up itself new members. As a result of this new formation the sound of the band changes fully, reason sufficient to give a new denomination him and as of January of 1997 they are made call Callejeros.
