Britt Daniel is the co-founder and lead singer of the Austin, Texas rock band Spoon. Besides being a singer/songwriter, he is well-respected as a producer, and, in addition to creating songs for Spoon, has also produced songs for the band I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness and Interpol. Besides being in Spoon, he has also performed under the moniker Drake Tungsten in the mid 90s.

Not another moniker, but a name factoid is that Daniel's "given name" is not really "Britt." In fact, "Britt" is his middle name and "John" is his first. He was named after his Great-grandfather, John Britt Daniel Sr., and grandfather, John Britt Daniel, Jr. Daniel's father also goes by his middle name.
