They formed on November 18 1993 with their first appearance on the Late Late Show on Irish Television, where their "dance routine" has been aired repeatedly as an embarrassing TV clip. Their managers were Louis Walsh and Mark Plunkett and they went on to score 16 top 10 singles and 4 Number One albums. The vast majority of their hits were cover versions of older hit songs and as a result have never appealed to the music critics.

They tried to break into the American market by recording a Spanish-English version of the song Mystical Experience, but failed miserably.
