Athena is the name of a Ska band from Turkey. The band participated in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, in Istanbul -- the first such concert to be a two day event and the first in which all thirty-six participating countries voted by public telephone.

Athena was formed by twin brothers Gökhan Özoğuz (Vocals, Guitars) and Hakan Özoğuz (Guitars), the other band members change constantly. They started their musical life as a metal band. They composed an anthem called Oniki Dev Adam (Twelve Giant Men) for the Turkish National Basketball Team. Athena, performing their song For Real took 4th place in the forty-ninth Eurovision Contest, out of a field of twenty-three competing musical groups. The contest was won by the Ukrainian entrant, Ruslana Lyzhichko, who performed the song Wild Dance, which won 280 points.
