Arto Lindsay (born May 28, 1953) is an American guitarist and singer. He has a distinctive often noisy, self-taught guitar style, which rarely if ever includes actual chords, and which Brian Olewnick describes as "studiedly naïve ... sounding like the bastard child of Derek Bailey" ; his guitar work is contrasted frequently with with gentler, sensuous Brazilian music themes.

Lindsay was born in the USA, but spent many years in Brazil with his missionary parents.
